Case conferences and supervision are held on an as needed/required basis.
Participants include interested clinicians of all disciplines as well as clinicians requiring supervision or requesting collaboration with other disciplines.
Outcome follow up occurs as needed, and at subsequent scheduled case conferences.
Primary goals of the case conference include:
- Providing an open forum for discussion of client cases of interest or cases which are difficult or problematic.
- Creating an environment where participants are encouraged to share, teach, learn, question, and support each other.
- Allowing for multidisciplinary input and insight
- Ensuring quality service and appropriate treatment
- Assisting with treatment plans of care
- Improving quality of care and client outcomes
- Providing a means for meeting the supervisory requirements of clinicians
- Allowing for collaboration with regard to prescriptive Authority
- Dissemination of information regarding relevant research, updates of evidence-based practices, and other current clinical information
- Allowing for reporting of chart audit results, and satisfaction surveys
- Providing opportunities for training
