Confidentiality of any form of communication through electronic media, including text messages, can  not  be  ensured.  If  you  prefer  to  communicate  using  secure  messaging  that  is  HIPPA compliant, you can so through our Electronic Medical Record platform-Simple Practice. Upon request, the office can give you instructions on how to use Secure Messaging. Secure messaging can be used for issues regarding scheduling or cancellations only and not any therapeutic content and/or request assistance for emergencies. Immediate response cannot be guaranteed so the best form to communicate schedule changes it to call the office directly at (586) 335-2006.Because H3 does not support use of non-HIPPA compliant communication, if a clinician chooses to  communicate  through  non-HIPPA  compliant  sources  (i.e.  text  messaging,  non-HIPPA compliant email), the clinician is solely liable for any possible legal issues that may arise.
